Biography
Gordon Byers (1912-2007) starred on England's most successful dirt bike racing team, Wembley (which raced on a track of that name, not to be confused with the current Wembley Stadium in London). His best years were the 1930s, although he returned to competition when the sport resumed following World War II. Until his death in December 2009 he was the oldest living racer from that track and team.
