Biography
Calvin (1918-1975), who appeared in many Disney projects, was best known as Sergeant Garcia on Zorro, televised on ABC from 1957-1959. A reluctant foe of the hero Zorro, the affable Sergeant Garcia was usually outwitted, or undone by his love of food and drink. A talented baritone, Calvin had appeared as the Wazir in the Broadway musical Kismet in the 1950s, and his Sergeant Garcia often broke into song.
