Biography
Isabel Sanford (1917-2004) is best remembered for her role as Sherman Hemsley's acerbic but loving wife on The Jeffersons. Sanford's film debut was Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967). While she was also featured in such films as Lady Sings the Blues and The New Centurions (both 1972), Love at First Bite (1979), South Beach (1992) and Original Gangstas (1996),
