Biography
Jack Albertson (1907-1981), who began his career in vaudeville and burlesque, is one of only three actors to have won a Tony, an Oscar and an Emmy award. The Tony came first, for The Subject Was Roses (1964), a role he reprised for a Best Supporting Actor award in 1968. Albertson earned two Emmys: the first for his popular sitcom Chico and the Man (1974-1978); the other for a guest appearance on the variety show Cher (1975).
