Jackie Coogan (1914-1984), a vaudeville stage performer since age four, was tapped by Charlie Chaplin to appear in A Day's Pleasure in 1919. Two years later, Coogan starred with Chaplin in his masterpiece, The Kid. Coogan's other film credits include Oliver Twist (1922), Tom Sawyer (1930), Huckleberry Finn  (1931), The Buster Keaton Story (1957), Girl Happy (1965), The Shakiest Gun in the West (1968), Cahill, United States Marshal (1973) and Won Ton Ton, the Dog Who Saved Hollywood (1976). On the small screen, Coogan is perhaps best remembered for his role as Uncle Fester on The Addams Family (1964-1966).
