Biography
Jan Miner (1917-2004) was an American actress, best known for her television commercial role of Madge in a series of long running Palmolive commercials. Before her commercial fame, Miner performed in the production of Viva Madison Avenue! (1960), and went on to act in eleven more Broadway plays, though one never officially opened. Her commercial series with Palmolive began in 1966 and continued until 1992, with the commercial running in six different countries.
