Jane Wyatt(1910-2006), had an established film career dating back to the 1930s (Lost Horizon, 1937; Boomerang, 1947). She is best known, however, for her role as the popular wife and mother on TV's Father Knows Best (1954-1962), for which she won three Emmy Awards. Wyatt's later roles included Spock's mother on the Star Trek TV series and in the feature film, Star Trek IV (1986). Wyatt was married to Edgar Bethune Ward from 1935 until his death in 2000 (one day before their 65th wedding anniversary); the couple had two children.
