Biography
Drummer Joe Butler was an original member of The Lovin' Spoonful, whose upbeat music and lyrics topped the pop charts in the late 1960s. The group's biggest hits included "Summer in the City," "What a Day for a Daydream" and "Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind?" The Spoonful, minus former leader John Sebastian, released a new album in 1999. The Lovin' Spoonful were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
