Biography
John C. Farrar (1896-1974) was an American editor and publisher. Previously a graduate from Yale, Farrar became the editor of The Bookmanup until it's purchase in 1927 by Seward Collins. Soon after, he founded his own publishing house, Farrar & Rinehart, and another after World War II, Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
