John Foster Dulles (1888-1959) an international law expert at the firm of Sullivan & Cromwell, attended the Versailles Conference (1919) as a legal counsel on the staff of his uncle, Wilson's Secretary of State Robert Lansing. Until his death, Dulles was President Eisenhower's Secretary of State, while his brother, Allen Dulles, was Director of Central Intelligence.
