A stunt man in films from the late 1930s, Hart (1917-2009) was getting major roles in Westerns and other action films by the early 1950s (Kansas Territory, The Great Adventures of Captian Kidd). American actor Hart (1917-2009) played the title role in TV's The Lone Ranger in 52 of its early episodes (1950-1953), while Clayton Moore was holding out for a higher salary. He reprised his Lone Ranger character on episodes of The Greatest American Hero (1981) and Happy Days (1982).
