Biography
Character actor John McGiver (1913-1975) had major roles in such films as Love in the Afternoon (1957), The Gazebo (1959), The Glass Bottom Boat (1966) and Midnight Cowboy (1969). He appeared often on TV, his versatility demonstrated by two appearances each on Gilligan's Island and The Twilight Zone. McGiver made the first of the "Do You Know Me?" TV commercials for American Express.
