June Allyson (1917-2006, born Eleanor Geisman in the Bronx, New York) co-starred with James Stewart in films including The Stratton Story (1949) and The Glenn Miller Story (1954). She hosted her own dramatic anthology TV series from 1959-1961, and Allyson remained active in film character roles, TV guest appearances and commercials.
