Biography
MARTINE CAROL (1920-1967) starred in French films from the mid-1940s to mid sixties. Among her titles released in the US were Adorable Creatures (1952), Madame du Barry (1954), Lola Montes (1955) and Love and the Frenchwoman (1960). Carol survived four marriages, drug abuse, a suicide attempt (leaping into the Seine) and a kidnapping, only to die of a heart attack in Monte Carlo at age 46.
