Biography
Swedish tennis star Mats Wilander (b. 1964) was ranked #1 in the world during his run of 7 Grand Slam singles titles (1982-1988). He won the Australian Open three times (twice while it was still a grass court), the French Open three times, and the US Open once, and also a doubles title at Wimbledon. He was the youngest player ever (age 20) to win his fourth Grand Slam event. Wilander was the sparkplug of the successful Swedish Davis Cup team of the 1980s.
