Biography
Maxwell Anderson is an American playwright whose works include Saturday's Children (1927), Elizabeth the Queen (1930), Mary of Scotland (1933) and Winterset, a poetic tragedy set in contemporary America, for which he won the very first New York Drama Critics Circle Award (1935).
