Natalie Cole (1950-2015), born Stephanie Natalie Maria Cole, is probably best known to modern audiences for her Grammy win for 1991's Unforgettable, which she sang (via electronic editing) with her father Nat King Cole. Cole made her stage debut at 11 and released her first album in 1975, scoring Top 10 hits on the Billboard pop and black charts with This Will Be (1975), Inseparable (1976), Sophisticated Lady (She's a Different Lady) (1976), I've Got Love On My Mind (1977), Party Lights (1977), Our Love (1978), Stand By (1979) and Gimme Some Time (1980), before switching from R&B to jazz-based pop in 1988. Cole continued to perform and chart songs on the adult contemporary, R&B/hip-hop, and Billboard Hot 100 charts until her death in 2015.
