Biography
California-born Dutra (1901-1983) played on the PGA tour for 19 years (1924-1942), winning the 1932 PGA Championship and the 1934 U. S. Open His Open championship in 1934 was particularly noteworthy, because he was sick with dysentery before and during the tournament. Dutra also played on the American team in the 1931, 1933 and 1935 Ryder Cup matches.
