Biography | show moreshow less
Orville Moody (1933-2008, born in Chickasha, Oklahoma) came from behind to win the U.S. Senior Open by two strokes over Frank Beard. His third-round 64 (eight under par) set a course record that went unbroken until 2002, when Don Pooley shot a 63. With this victory, Moody became one of only four golfers to win both the U.S. Open (1969) and the U.S. Senior Open. He also won the Viceroy Panama Open in 1984.
