Biography
Actress Peggy Lipton (1946-2019) was best known for her role as undercover cop Julie Barnes in the TV series The Mod Squad (1968-1973) and the 1979 made-for-television reunion movie. In 1970, she won a Golden Globe for her performance. Lipton was also nominated for the Golden Globe in in 1969, 1971, and 1972. Her other television work includes roles on The John Forsythe Show (1965-1966) and Twin Peaks (1990-1991), and guest appearances on a number of shows, including recurring roles on Popular (1999-2001) and Alias (2001-2006). As a singer, she put three songs on the Billboard charts: ("Stoney End", 1968; "Lu" and "Wear Your Love Like Heaven", 1970).
