Biography
Peter DePaolo (1898-1980) won the 1925 Indianapolis 500, which was the first Indy 500 to average over 100 miles per hour. He retired in 1934 and became a racing car owner. DePaolo was car owner and team manager for Kelly Petillo during his 1935 Indy 500 win and was a NASCAR team owner from 1955 to 1957.
