Lupus first made his mark as a bodybuilder, winning numerous titles, including "Mr. Indianapolis" and "Mr. Hercules." His impressive physique led to early roles in sword-and-sandal films of the 1960s, such as "Hercules and the Tyrants of Babylon" (1964). However, his most recognizable role came later with the television series "Mission: Impossible" (1966–1973), where he played the character Willy Armitage. His character's minimal dialogue but crucial role is remembered as a distinctive feature of the series. After "Mission: Impossible," Lupus continued to act in television and film, including a notable role in "Police Squad!" (1982).
