Ralph Bellamy (1904-1991), was nominated for an Oscar as Best Supporting Actor for The Awful Truth (1937). He won a Best Actor Tony for Sunrise at Campobello (1958), reprising his role as FDR in the film version two years later. (He portrayed Franklin Roosevelt again in the TV miniseries The Winds of War (1983).
