Biography
Roger Craig (b. 1930) pitched for the Brooklyn and LA Dodgers (1955-1961), including the Dodgers first World Championship (1955) and two more World Series (1956, lost to the Yankees, and 1959, defeating the White Sox). An original New York Met, he lost over 20 games in both seasons there (10-24 in 1962, 5-22 in 1963). He spent one more season with the Cardinals, Reds and Phillies, notching another World Series ring with St Louis (1964). He retired from the mound, but not from baseball, after the 1966 season, but continued as a respected pitching coach and manager: (San Diego Padres, 1978-1979), San Francisco Giants (1985-1992), winning an NL Pennant in 1989.
