Biography
On screen for half a century, English actor Moore (1927-2017) starred in three TV series, Ivanhoe, The Persuaders and, most famously, The Saint (as Simon Templar, a Bond-type character who predates Bond in print, 1967). He was cast as James Bond in seven films, from Live and Let Die (1973) to A View to a Kill (1985). Moore, a KBE, titled his autobiography My Word is My Bond In recent years, most of Moore has frequently served as a documentary narrator.
