Ron Leibman (b.1937), made his Broadway debut in 1963, won an Obie Award for Transfers and a New York Drama Desk Award for We Bombed in New Haven (he would return to Broadway in 1993, winning a Tony Award for Angels in America). After appearing in several made-for-TV movies and feature films, including Slaughterhouse Five (1972) and The Super Cops (1973), Leibman created, co-wrote and starred in the short-lived TV series, Kaz (1978-1979). His other film credits include Norma Rae (1979), Zorro, the Gay Blade (1981), Phar Lap (1984) and Rhinestone (1985), and Leibman has also appeared in recurring roles on Friends (as Rachel's father, Dr. Leonard Green, 1996, 2001, 2004) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2001). He has also made guest appearances on several other TV series. Leibman, who was married to actress Linda Lavin from 1969-1981, has been married to actress Jessica Walter since 1983.
