Biography
Irish dramatist Sean O'Casey (1880-1964), who lived in England from 1926, wrote on social and political themes. He won acclaim -- and criticism -- for his early Dublin trilogy, The Shadow of a Gunman (1923), Juno and the Paycock (1924) and The Plough and the Stars (1926), which was set during the 1916 Easter Rising.
