Biography
Sir Malcolm Campbell (1885-1948) set the first auto land speed record of 146.16 mph in 1924, breaking his record eight times to 301.13 mph in 1935. He set water speed records three times, the last, 141.74 mph in 1939, a record he still held at his death. All his records were set in autos and hydroplanes named Bluebird.
