Biography
McQueen (1930-1980) had his first starring film role in The Blob (1958), the same year he began a 3-year run as a moody bounty hunter in TV's Wanted: Dead or Alive. McQueen would gain an Oscar nomination as Best Actor for The Sand Pebbles (1966). Among his many other movie hits were The Magnificent Seven (1960), The Great Escape (1963), The Cincinnati Kid (1965), Bullitt (1968) and Papillon (1973).
