Biography
Thomas Mann (1875-1955), a German author and essayist who lived in Switzerland and the U. S. after Hitler came to power, won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1929. His best known works include Buddenbrooks (1901), Death in Venice (1912) and The Magic Mountain (1924).
