Tim Raines, born Timothy Raines in 1959, played in the bigs from 1979 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2002. A seven-time All Star (1981-1987) and 1986 National League Silver Slugger, Raines stole 808 bases during his career and holds the American League record for most consecutive stolen bases without being caught stealing: 40 bases stolen in a remarkable stretch that lasted from 1993 to 1995. In all, Raines had a career batting average of .294, including eight seasons with a .300 average or more, along with 170 home runs and 980 RBIs.
