Tom Paxton (b.1937) is an American folk singer/songwriter who has worked in music for over 50 years.  He is the writer and composer of over 100 albums and songbooks, including Looking for the Moon, which received a nomination for Best Contemporary Folk Album (2003). Also a children's song and book writer, his album Your Shoes, My Shoes also received a Grammy nomination (2002).  Paxton was awarded a Grammy Life Time Achievement Award in 2009.
