Biography | show moreshow less
Tommy Bond (1926-2005) played the neighborhood bully in many of the Our Gang comedies. A gentle man in real life, he was a close friend of on-screen rival Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer.  In other roles as a young brat, he bedeviled adult comedians such as Laurel and Hardy. Bond later played cub reporter Jimmy Olson in Superman film serials (1948-1950). Leaving acting in 1951, he became an executive for Metromedia television. After his retirement in 1990, Bond became a familiar and popular figure at nostalgia conventions.
