Biography
Tris Coffin (1909-1990) starred in an "atomic powered rocket flying suit" in the 12-part King of the Rocket Men (1949). He made multiple appearances in at least a dozen of the best known TV series of the era, including Kit Carson, The Cisco Kid, Judge Roy Bean, Wild Bill Hickok, The Adventures of Superman, 77 Sunset Strip, Death Valley Days. He appeared in the pilot episode of The Lone Ranger, as the older brother whose killing inspired the title character to adopt his masked persona.
