Victor Herbert (1859-1924) was a composer, cellist, and conductor. Works of the composer include Babes in Toyland and Naughty Marietta. From 1893-1898, he conducted the 22nd New York Regiment Band and then conducted the Pittsburgh Symphony (1898-1904). In 1904, Herbert organized his own orchestra in New York.  Herbert also wrote musical scores for the Ziegfeld Follies (1917, 1921-1924).
