Victor Lombardo Autographs, Memorabilia & Collectibles

Born: April 10, 1911 in London, Ontario
Died: January 22, 1994 in Boca Raton, Florida
In 1930, saxophonist and clarinetist Victor Lombardo joined his older brothers in the celebrated swing band, Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadians, which had begun its tradition of New Year's Eve performances in New York the previous year. (A recording of the Lombardo's "Auld Lang Syne" is still played in Times Square at the stroke of midnight.) Lombardo also led his own orchestra in the Lombardo style, "the sweetest music this side of heaven", and briefly led the Royal Canadians after Guy's death in 1977.
