Biography
Victoria Monks (1884-1927) was a British music hall singer of the Edwardian and First World War era, finding particular success with her recordings of both classic and popular tunes. Most popular of her repertoire were her songs "Take Me Back to London Town" and "Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey". All of her success was from her stage work, appearing in only one film, the short The Love Song, during her career. Following an accident in 1915, Monks had to quit performing, and went bankrupt shortly after.
