Biography
Vivian Blaine (1921-1995) created the role of Miss Adelaide in the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls (1955), a part she reprised in the London production and film version (1955). She and Pinky Lee co-hosted a TV musical variety show, Those Two (1951-1952). Blaine appeared in character roles in films and TV into the early 1980s.
