Biography
Vivien Leigh (1913-1967) and Laurence Olivier met on the set of Fire Over England in 1937; the couple fell in love and married (1940-1960). Leigh signed this hand-tinted photo which was embossed onto a postcard made in Great Britain. She won Academy Awards for Best Actress as Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind (1939) and as Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire (1951). Leigh was only 53 when she succumbed to a severe bout of tuberculosis in 1967.
