Biography
Author William Hjortsberg (b. 1941) has written 6 novels and 4 screenplays to date, as well as a biography of author Richard Brautigan. His best known novel, Falling Angel (1978), was the basis for his screenplay Angel Heart (1978). Another well-known screenplay was for the cult classic dark fantasy Legend (1985).
