Gerald William "Bill" Marshall (1917-1994) was a vocalist with Fred Waring's Orchestra before forming his own band in 1937. Moving to Hollywood, he played supporting roles in films of the 1940s, including such wartime movies as I Escaped from the Gestapo and The Boy from Stalingrad (both 1943).
