William B. Fordney, Lancaster, Pa., promising "to meet Duffy at your hospital room" on
Friday. Cameron (1799-1889) was Senator from Pennsylvania (Democrat, 1845-1849;
Republican, 1857-1861, 1867-1877), a candidate for the 1860 Republican nomination for
President and Lincoln's Secretary of War (1861-1862). Lightly stained, slightly soiled. Silked.
With original postmarked envelope addressed by Cameron. Lightly soiled. Flap torn,
1x1¼-inch section cut out where stamp was removed. 1¼-inch separation touches "m" of Wm.
