GUY STANDING
He signs a short sentiment on a 5¼x2¼ card.
Autograph Sentiment signed: "Sincerely yours/Guy Standing", 5¼x2¼ card. English actor Sir Guy Standing (1873-1937) received a CBE and then a KBE for his service in the Royal Navy during World War I. Part of a family of prominent actors, Standing had a long stage resume when he made his first film in 1933 - at age 63. He made 19 films between that date and 1937, when he died following a rattlesnake bite while hiking in the Hollywood Hills. Standing usually played crusty authority figures, often military officers, as in his best known role: Colonel Stone in Lives of a Bengal Lancer (1935). Slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
