screenplay and appeared as the Vicar in the 1935 classic, David
Copperfield. He was also the screenwriter for Little Lord
Fauntleroy (1936) and is credited as the book or story author for Kind
Lady, Vanessa and Vanessa, Her Love Story (all 1935), Mr.
Perrin and Mr. Traill (1948) and Kind Lady (1951). Known primarily as
an author, he wrote the Herries Chronicles, which included Rogue Herries
(1930), Judith Paris (1931), The Fortress (1932) and
Vanessa (1933). CHARLES WILLIAM BEEBE, a gifted naturalist,
ornithologist and deep-sea explorer is best known for ascending to record depths
in the Bathysphere with Otis Barton in 1934. He also wrote a number of
popular books on nature and exploring adventures. Lightly soiled. 6 file holes
