The works of Sir John Betjeman (1906-1984), Britain's 17th Poet Laureate from 1972 until his death in 1984, include A Few Late Chrysanthemums (1954), the bestselling Collected Poems (1971), A Nip in the Air (1974) and Church Poems (1981). He also wrote architectural studies and became a popular figure on British radio and television, campaigning for the preservation of British architectural treasures. Frayed left edge where sheet was torn from a booklet. Light paperclip rust mark in upper left. Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso shows through faintly. Otherwise, fine condition.
