Multi-talented novelist, biographer, poet, editor, translator and critic, Scott (1771-1832) is perhaps best known for his romantic works Rob Roy (1818), Ivanhoe (1819) and Kenilworth (1821). His popular narrative poems include "The Lay of the Last Minstrel" (1805), "Marmion" (1808) and "The Lady of the Lake." Lightly creased and foxed. Chipped at blank edges. "10c" (unknown hand) at mid-left margin above 1¼ inch diameter red wax seal. Otherwise, fine condition.
