Space shuttle mission STS-98, the 102nd flight of a space shuttle, was launched from Kennedy Space Center on February 7, 2001 and returned safely to Edwards Air Force Base on February 20. Six of the 12 days in space were spent at the International Space Station, to which Atlantis delivered and installed the US-made Destiny Laboratory Module, completing assembly with three spacewalks by Jones and Curbeam, including the 100th US spacewalk. The crew was composed of Commander KEN COCKRELL; Pilot MARK POLANSKY; and Mission Specialists ROBERT CURBEAM, THOMAS D. JONES and MARSHA IVINS. Fine condition.
