Precourt", 6½x3½. Envelope postmarked Edwards Air Force Base, California,
May 6, 1993. Space shuttle mission STS-55, the 55th orbital flight and
thefourteenth flight of Columbia, was launched from Kennedy Space
Center on April 26, 1993 and returned to Edwards Air Force Base on May 6.
This flight was a multinational Spacelab flight involving 88 experiments from
eleven different nations, with projects ranging from biological experiments
to earth observations. The crew was composed of Commander STEVEN R.
NAGEL; Pilot TERENCE T. HENRICKS; Mission Specialists JERRY L.
ROSS, CHARLES J. PRECOURT and BERNARD A. HARRIS, JR; and Payload Specialists
ULRICH WALTER and HANS SCHLEGEL. The mission was also called the D-2
(Deutschland-2) missions, because this Spacelab and the (two Payload
Specialists) were German. Fine condition.
