Envelope postmarked Kennedy Space Center, September 30, 1994 and Edwards Air Force Base, October 11, 1994. Space shuttle mission STS-68, aboard Endeavor, launched from the Kennedy Space Center on September 30, 1994 and returned to Edwards Air Force Base on October 11. The primary payload was the Space Radar Laboratory, making its second flight to study the Earth's environment. This system had been carried on STS-59 in April of 1994, permitting measurement of seasonal changes in vegetation, snow packs, ocean currents, and other geologic and climatic conditions. The crew included Commander MICHAEL A. BAKER; Pilot TERRENCE W. WILCUTT.; AND Mission Specialists THOMAS D. JONES, STEVEN L. SMITH, DANIEL W. BURSCH and PETER J. K. WISOFF. Fine condition.
