SPRUILLE BRADEN
The former U.S. Ambassador to Colombia, Cuba and Argentina signs his
name on a 3¼x1¾ card.
Signature: "Spruille Braden" on a 3¼x1¾ card, affixed to an
8½x11 page (3 surfaces), with newspaper articles about Braden affixed to front
and verso. Spruille Braden (1894-1978) was U.S. Ambassador to Colombia
(1939-1942), Cuba (1942-1945) and Argentina (1945). He was
featured on the cover of the November 5, 1945 issue of "Time" magazine.
From the private collection of Ralph Errington Ward (1926-2009) a fighter
pilot and squadron commander in the China-Burma-India Theater of World War II,
went on to become President and CEO of Cheseborough-Ponds, Inc., transforming
the cosmetics firm into a major home product conglomerate. Lightly soiled.
